Happy 100 Platt Fields

As reported on the blog a couple of days ago, the launch of the Centenary for Platt Fields was held yesterday and was a tremendous success with around 70 people in attendance. I had the honour of making the opening speech as both as the Executive Member for Leisure as well as being a local Councillor. It was especially pleasing to introduce the honouree President of the Friends of Platt Fields, Sir Gerald Kaufman MP who made an excellent speech.
