104 Extra Police for Manchester

As part of Manchester Labour's budget settlement this year we have provided funding to recruit an extra 104 Police Officers from this April.

Labour Councillor David Royle stated: "I and my colleagues have responded to residents priorities. These extra Police Officers are on top of the new Neighbourhood Police Teams and Police Community Support Officers. My Police Pledge is for residents to see a more visible approach to policing in our community".

If this is actually the case why is there still no consistent police or PCSO presence on the Aston Avenue Estate where Anti-Social Behaviour is a constant day-to-day activity. In addition, when concerns have been addressed to PCSO on duty why is nothing being done, even after constant campaigning since 2005.

If you have indeed responded to the concerns of residents, why is Anti-Social Behaviour still so prevalent and why are non-cost effective initiatives still wasting vast amounts of Taxpayers money?
